Vudu are an Italian team based out of Scarlino in Tuscany. Led by ambitious, passionate owner Mauro Gestri who has only been grand prix racing for a couple of years, the team compete on the 2015 launched former Azzurra which was previously in Australia as Hooligan and then Patrice. They have consistently stepped up their level from racing at high level Mediterranean regattas under ORC like Copa del Rey to this year competing at the ORC World Championship in Sorrento where they finished second. The Rolex TP52 World Championship marks their debut on the 52 SUPER SERIES, a check in to see how they do at the very top level in the class. They hope to do more events in the future and hopefully this is a first step. Tactician is Italian former ILCA 7 Olympian Michele Regolo assisted on strategy by Croatian Finn racer Ivan Gaspic who sailed at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and is three times European champion in the heavyweight singlehander.
