Two in a row for Quantum

Quantum Racing won the final race of the Audi Sardinia Cup to secure their second 52 SUPER SERIES regatta triumph in succession.

The team skippered by. America’s Cup winner and Match Racing world champion Ed Baird delivered a body blow to the hopes of the  regatta leaders Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on the start line.

They squeezed the home team high at the committee boat end of the start line, forcing them to duck late behind the stern of Quantum Racing. From that moment Audi Azzurra were on the back foot. Wtih the race track consistently favouring the right side., Azzurra were consigned to the midle of the fleet and crossed the finish fifth.

The French team on Paprec lead at the WW1 mark but were overhauled by the world champions on the downwind, but a second place was a good note to finish on .
