In 2024 Eric De Turckheim’s French Team Teasing Machine took big step into the world of intense, inshore grand prix racing by joining the 52 SUPER SERIES. The successful crew which had already collected many honours from the world’s biggest and most prestigious offshore races including the likes of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race, the Rolex Fastnet Race, the Rolex Middle Sea Race, Caribbean 600, RORC Transatlantic Race and most recently the Round Ireland race. From their NMD 54 offshore boat they moved to the Botin designed former Gladiator which they raced last year for the first time in Puerto Portals. Under project manager Laurent Pages, Team Teasing Machine have a crew which has sailed tens of thousands of offshore miles together and who are expected to adapt quickly to the short windward leeward race courses. They proved competitive at both regattas they sailed in 2024 finishing eighth in Valencia including three third place races and won the last race of their debut regatta in Puerto Portals.
