Race 6 – Platoon Comes Back Strong

After a hugely disappointing start to the regatta, Harm Müller-Spreer’s world champions Platoon are very much on the bounce-back, winning the second race today. Added to their second in the first race, the German-flagged crew led by John Kostecki are now up to fourth overall. Once more, starting was key and getting to the left of a course that was set close to the beach. Alegre led at the top mark, but Platoon passed on the first run. Azzurra gained from fourth to third to extend their lead at the Odzala Discovery Camps 52 SUPER SERIES V&A Waterfront – Cape Town regatta by ten points over local favourites Phoenix 11.
