Race 6 – Azzurra on Top Form

Azzurra won Race 6 of the 52 SUPER SERIES Miami Royal Cup and so extend their overall lead to 15 points. Quantum Racing, along with Rán Racing and Alegre were all over the start line early and had to recross the line.

Azzurra started nicely again and in the light SE’ly breeze, just 5-6 kts on the first leg, were quickly in command of the fleet. By the second round they were more than 150m ahead of sister-ship Bronenosec which improved from fourth at the first mark. Platoon worked hard for a useful third place with Peter Harrison’s Sorcha showing well again in fourth.

Quantum Racing gybe set away from the fleet on the first run and rounded the leeward gate in tenth, recovering one place on the last run. But ninth drops Quantum Racing to fourth overall. Provezza’s fifth elevates them to second overall with Platoon in third.
