Dying breeze in coastal race

A general calm which spread across the course off the Faraglioni rock pinnacles, off Capri’s spectacular SE corner, put paid to today’s coastal race for the BARCLAYS 52 SUPER SERIES.

Regatta leaders Vesper had made a great start and had a small lead until the breeze started dying away. Although there were just tiny zephyrs on the water, the Bay of Naples was glassy smooth and the race committee decided to pull the pin and abandon the race.
