Day 2, Race 3 Recap

With Tony Langley’s Gladiator winning Race 3, their first race victory this season, three different crews have now won races at the 33rd Copa del Rey Mapfre.

Quantum Racing looked to be on course for their second win when they were 100m ahead down the first run but Tom Slingsby found Gladiator more pressure and a favourable shift down the run which allowed the British flagged team to pass through the gate ahead. Phoenix also gained down the run to pull up to a third placed finish. Racing on the middle course area the sea breeze was up and down all the time shifting in direction as two breezes conflicted, fighting for supremacy.
