Race 7, Rán’s turn

While Ran Racing won the second race of the day, Quantum Racing recovered from fifth to second to ensure their overall regatta lead is six points.

Niklas Zennstrom’s team won the pin end of the start and were quickly ahead, leading Phoenix around the first mark.

Recognising extra wind pressure on the right when the left was lighter, Quantum Racing were able to pass Phoenix at the windward mark second time up to hold on to second to the line. Azzurra finished fifth and so the leaderboard opens a little after seven races with Quantum Racing now six points ahead of Ran nine points ahead of Azzurra who have Gladiator two points behind them.
