Race 6 – Azzurra Apply the Pressure

Azzurra won the first race of what promises to be a breezy penultimate day of the Rolex TP52 World Championship to keep the pressure on Quantum Racing who are the championship leaders.

With Alegre dropping to an eighth place finish in that race and Quantum Racing fifth, Azzurra are now three points behind Quantum Racing.

Azzurra won off the pin end of the start line in 16kts of breeze on what proved a more open first upwind. They found some left and extra pressure on that side of the course along with Platoon. Azzurra led around the first mark with Sled second. Platoon were lying third or fourth but had to take a penalty, dropping to eighth.
