Race 5 – Sled Rise to the Top

After a slightly lacklustre opening to the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week regatta, Takashi Okura’s Sled team completed their perfect comeback day when they won the second race today, adding to their win victory in the preceding contest.

Sled again started well and worked from the middle of the start line to play the middle right to right of the beat, again judging the first layline well, leading Bronenosec around the top mark with Quantum Racing third.

Sled held out nicely to win with Quantum Racing stealing second on a close finish with Platoon and Bronenosec.

Rán Racing, 8,6 today, still lead but only by two points from Sled who share the same points tally – 22 – as Quantum Racing.
