Race 3 Report: Vesper’s triumph

Jim Swartz crew on Vesper ensured their long trip from the USA will be remembered for the best reasons when they comfortably won the BARCLAYS 52 SUPER SERIES Race 3 off Capri this afternoon, ahead os Ran Racing.

The winning formula included a good start and early choice of the middle right of the course, taking the small advantage in the light unstable breeze. They led Ran Racing at the top mark and had extended to a considerable margin by the line.

Michele Ivaldi’s B2 rose to second on the run but lost Ran Racing and Phoenix near the finish line. Phoenix third ties them on the overall standings with Quantum Racing who were sixth with Azzurra seventh.
