Steve Benjamin’s Spookie team won the second race of the Cascais Cup to establish their early overall lead. The US team add to their second place in the first race.

After a delay waiting for the breeze to settle once a front had gone through, there were 13 to 15kts off the start line but this faded right back to 7 or 8 on the second upwind making life hard in the big, sloppy waves topped by a leftover chop.
Azzurra pipped Quantum Racing for second place, getting ahead of their rivals on the last 200m to the finish line but Quantum Racing return a solid 3,3 day to Azzurra’s 5,2.
