Race 1 – Bronenosec Win The First Race of 2019

Vladimir Liubomirov’s Bronenosec, the newest boat in the fleet, which was built through last winter, won the first 52 SUPER SERIES race of the 2019 season.

With Croatian Olympic medallist Sime Fantela on the helm and Morgan Larson calling tactics, the blue-hulled Bronenosec nailed the first upwind, working left in the gentle 6-8kts breeze to lead Quantum Racing around the top mark.

Azzurra profited on the second beat to rise to second while Hasso Plattner’s Phoenix 11 took third, the 2018 champions Quantum Racing dropping to an eighth place finish.
