Quantum Racing world champions

With insufficient wind to allow racing on the final day of the AUDI 52 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Quantum Racing win the world title for the fourth time.

The race area off Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda was stuck in a transition area of conflicting breezes. While there were some periods which looked promising over the 5 hours wait on the water there was never enough to set a windward-leeward course and at just before 1500hrs local time the race committee sent the eight boat fleet ashore. Quantum Racing win the title by two points ahead of Phoenix, and with it also the second regatta of the BARCLAYS 52 SUPER SERIES.
