High stakes in second beat

A dramatic second beat infringement by regatta leaders Platoon saw Harm Muller Spreer’s team losing five places and finally accede the regatt lead to Azzurra.

The world champions will go into the final day one point up on Quantum Racing who sailed to an impeccable 1,2 today, to now be tied on points with Platoon.
Platoon lead Race 7 at the top mark but lost Quantum Racing and Alegre down the first run. Quantum Racing went to the left of the run while Alegre rolled over Platoon.
So the top of the standings are incredibly tight and a great finale to the 34th Copa del Rey MAPFRE expected Saturday.
