Azzurra win Settimana delle Bocche as spectacular Race 8 abandoned

Azzurra will be crowned champions of the Settimana delle Bocche regatta, the prestigous event hosted by their home club Yacht Club Costa Smeralda after Race 8 was abandoned when the wind became too strong.

Azzurra had just taken the lead after an incredible sleigh ride downwind showing remarkable control and speed, passing four boats. But as they headed upwind for the second beat race control decided conditions were no longer safe for racing and signalled abandoned. So the home team win the second regatta of the 52 SUPER SERIES by three points ahead of Quantum Racing.
