RACE 7: Azzurra has one hand on the trophy

Audi Azzurra won Race 7 of the Audi Valencia Cup with Quantum Racing third again to move four points clear on the overall standings for the 52 Super Series with only tomorrow’s one final race to go.

Alberto Roemmers’ team were on great form again, leading at the windward mark again, despite losing out to Quantum Racing pre start. The American flagged 52 made their best start of the regatta so far but rounded the windwarrd mark in third behind Gladiator. But at the leeward gate they dropped to fifth, but once more recovered to third.

Audi Azzurra Sailing Team lead the 52 Super Series by four points, leaving them witha relatively straightforward task to win the top trophhy. They also extend their overall lead in the Audi Valencia Cup.
