Alegre win but Quantum Racing close in on Baiona title

While Alegre won their first race of the ABANCA 52 SUPER SERIES in brisk 13-18kts sea breeze on the Ría de Vigo a second place with Phoenix third and nearest rivals Platoon in fifth gives four times 52 SUPER SERIES champions Quantum Racing a seven points lead going into the final race.
Alegre led narrowly at the top mark first time up with Quantum Racing back in sixth but they were able to roll three boats on the first run and, again working the left of the upwind, take Interlodge for second across the finish. Phoenix passed Interlodge on the final run to take third which leaves them one point behind second placed Platoon going into the last race of the regatta.
