2016 Puerto Portals Sailing Week – Race 8 Summary

Bronenosec won the second race of today at the Puerto Portals Sailing Week to strengthen their claim to a podium position at this third 52 SUPER SERIES regatta of the season. Bronenosec started well one third up from the pin but read the persistent left shift well, making a good layline to the first turn. They were well clear at the first windward mark. Rán stayed second from start to finish while Quantum Racing passed Alegre for third. So Quantum carry a nine point lead into the last day. Azzurra had to take a penalty for fouling Gladiator at the first mark but recovered from ninth to seventh.
