2016 Puerto Portals Sailing Week – Race 7 Summary

Another nicely executed well managed start was the first building block for Quantum Racing’s third race win in a row, a victory which opens their regatta lead to five points.

In the 12-13kts sea breeze the track proved one sided, reducing the passing opportunities. But Azzurra sailed a good second beat from the left hand gate mark making a gain on the early left which allowed them to cross ahead of Platoon into second place. Provezza were squeezed from the pin end line up, had to take sterns immediately and halted their consistent run with a resulting ninth.
