Bravo Azzurra, Podium Shuffled on Last Leg of Last Race!

Azzurra will be crowned TP52 world champions this evening winning the 2015 title. Remarkably Provezza win third step on countback tied on 56pts with Alegre and Ran Racing.

The battle for the podium places went to the wire as Platoon snatched second place with a gun to gun final race victory and Provezza take third overall with fifth place as Quantum Racing slumped to a 12th in the dying minutes of the race. The 52 SUPER SERIES champions had started poorly but still had second in their sights until a big windshift to the left down the last run saw them lose five places as kites were doused and jibs set so big was the shift.

Azzurra win the title for the first time, their second regatta win in a row after victory on their home waters of the Costa Smeralda, Sardinia last month.
