Introducing

Gladiator

Owned, skippered and steered by English businessman Tony Langley, Gladiator has made consistent progress in the 52 fleet since joining in for the first time in 2009, having raced now at four 52 World Championships and two full seasons on the MedCup and 52 SUPER SERIES.

Their 2009 built, Vrolijk designed 52 is the former Artemis and remains one of the most potent performers in the lighter breezes. This year the boat has had a new, deeper fin fitted and there was some subsequent ballast reconfiguration which has contributed to a more potent uprange performance.
Chris Larson (USA) continues to work a certain magic as tactician. This season 33rd America’s Cup winner Ross Halcrow (NZL) sails as trimmer and Anthony Nossiter (AUS) has joined as grinder. But the Gladiator team still enjoy the participation of several Corinthian amateur sailors on board.
Gladiator have become consistent race winners, now regularly lead regattas at interim stages, finished third in Sardinia last year and fourth overall for the season
