Their ambitious 52 programme continues to run alongside the Rán II Mini-Maxi campaign which ensures that the crew sail many hundreds of miles together and are very cohesive, well practiced and close.
Initially, at their early regattas consistency proved elusive, but over the subsequent seasons the Rán Racing team have grown to become on of the top teams, culminating in being crowned 52 World Champions in March 2013 in Miami. Last year they won the 52 SUPER SERIES in Palma, the Royal Cup and finished third overall for the season. In 2011, their debut year, they finished the season on a high with a regatta win in Barcelona.
This season past MedCup and Volvo Ocean Race winning navigator Jules Salter (GBR) serves as navigator, Adrian Stead (GBR) is tactician.
