Race 8 – Platoon Step Three Points Clear

While Niklas Zennström’s Rán Racing won Race 8 of the 52 SUPER SERIES in the lightest conditions yet at Quantum Key West Race Week, a solid third place leaves Harm Müller-Spreer’s crew on Platoon a clear three points lead overall.

Off the start line, Quantum Racing were the early leaders, rounding the first windward mark just ahead of Rán Racing with Platoon in third.

Quantum Racing gybed away on the run and lost out to Rán who won by just under 100 metres from Doug DeVos’s team. While the German-flagged crew are now three clear at the top, three boats are now all locked on 37pts, Rán Racing, Provezza and Azzurra.
