Race 6 – Sled wins in brisk sea breeze

Takashi Okura’s Sled became the fifth team from six races to score a victory when they lead Harm Muller Spreer’s Platoon across the finish line of today’s second of three planned contests.

Sled and Platoon broke away early working the high left of the first windward leg well to lead at the top mark.
In the brisker sea breeze 11 to 13kts the top two built a decent lead ahead of an interesting duel between Paprec and Ran Racing.
Paprec add a third to their fourth in the previous race.

Ran recovered well from eighth to fourth to keep the pressure on the current Ford Vignale Valencia Sailing Week regatta leaders, Andy Soriano’s Alegre who finished ninth. Sled move up to third, six points behind Ran who are only one point behind Alegre.
The sea breeze looks to be staying in for the third race of the day.
