Race 6 Recap … Quantum again

Quantum Racing resumed normal service after a disappointing, frustrating coastal race sixth place when they won Race 6 of the Copa del Rey MAPFRE to extend their lead at the top of the regatta standings.

In a modest 9 to 12kts of typical Palma sea breeze Quantum Racing made the best start and lead at every turn. Ran Racing lost out to Azzurra on the second beat as the Yacht Clubs Costa Smeralda crew took second. Gladiator kept themselves in the podium hunt when they pipped Phoenix on the finish line to rescue a fourth. Quantum Racing now lead by seven points.
