Quantum Racing Wins the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week

CONGRATULATIONS to Quantum Racing for winning the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week.

With a solid fourth place in the final race, which was won by Azzurra, Doug DeVos and the team on Quantum Racing win the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week, their second title in a row and now their third regatta win of the season.

This finale was more or less a typical Palma Bay race with Azzurra and Luna Rossa staking their early claim to a profitable left shift on the left. More conservative Platoon and Quantum Racing played the averages more towards the middle. At the first turn, Azzurra led Luna Rossa, while Platoon and Quantum Racing had sailed a wider layline, overstanding a little, Quantum Racing going round third and Platoon fourth.

But on the second beat Luna Rossa stayed left and lost big time. Azzurra winning gives them second overall behind Quantum, with Platoon taking third.
