Poised in Portugal

After yesterday’s one coastal race exertion it is back to windward-leeward races today for the 52 SUPER SERIES fleet at the Cascais Cup.

The breezes this morning were strong and from the NE but since the boats started to dock out it has started to clock around to a more usual NW. The local forecasts expect over 20 knots, building to more later in the afternoon so there should be some excellent racing, much closer to what the fleet hope for late season in Cascais.
Quantum Racing are on a roll after two wins yesterday which were both impeccably executed. Azzurra’s steely focus today is on the season long title which means protecting their 32 points lead with a low risk strategy.
Vesper have been impressive, consistent and fast and lie third overall. But the battle for third on the 2015 52 SUPER SERIES podium swung back to Sled who are again three points up on Bronenosec.
