Home team win in Race 4

Azzurra bounced back after a disappointing coastal race to win Race 4 ahead of Quantum Racing but with second place the 2014 52 SUPER SERIES champions take a clear lead at the top of the Week of the Straits regatta standings.

In the 14-16kts of SE’ly breeze Bronenosec lead around the first windward turn after getting the best start and out to the left side of the track. Azzurra rounded second ahead of Quantum Racing. On the downwind Azzurra’s choice of the left side and the right hand mark looking upwind let the home team build a small advantage upwind ahead of Quantum Racing. Bronenosec dropped to fourth with Sled gaining third. So Quantum Racing lead the regatta standings by two points ahead of Bronenosec and Azzurra.
