Home favourites Azzurra secure first victory!

Home favourites Azzurra scored a confidence building victory in the first race of the 52 SUPER SERIES’ Audi Settimana delle Boche regatta off Porto Cervo.

Though series leaders Quantum Racing made the best start and lead around the first lap, but Azzurra made a key gain at the leeward gate when they chose the right hand mark, profiting to the right side of the upwind. They held on to win ahead off Quantum Racing with Interlodge third. In the breezy Mistral conditions boat handling was key, the winds picking up to 22 to 24kts on the second round.
