Consistent Quantum Racing lead in Ibiza

Marc Blees’ all star crew on Gaastra Pro won the third race in Ibiza becoming the third different TP52 to score a race win on the first day of the ZENITH Royal Cup MARINA IBIZA regatta, the final event of the BARCLAYS 52 SUPER SERIES. With a 1,2,3 for the day Quantum Racing lead the regatta four points ahead of Rán Racing and Azzurra which both have ten points.

On the very shifty first beat Gaastra Pro came back from a poor start to reap a big dividend from their offshore position, to the left of the pack. They rounded the top mark with a small lead over Azzurra which they were able to hold to the finish in the fading breeze.
Rán Racing pipped Phoenix to fourth on the finish line which allows them to share the same points aggregate as Azzurra.
