CONGRATULATIONS to Azzurra for winning the 52 SUPER SERIES Miami Royal Cup regatta with a bold display of unwavering brilliance throughout the week.

Azzurra win the second regatta of the 2017 52 SUPER SERIES season, the Miami Royal Cup with a fourth place in the final race. Harm Müller-Spreer’s Platoon finish runners up just as they did in Key West in January and Provezza hold third overall.

Niklas Zennström’s Rán Racing won the final race of the regatta, gaining two places on the second beat, just pipping Andy Soriano’s Alegre in the final run in to the finish line.

In a fading breeze, which dropped from 13 to seven knots the finale had three different leaders Azzurra leading off the pin end of the line. Alegre took the lead on the first run and then Rán won on the last leg.
