Bronenosec win coastal

Opportunities were small and subtle on the 18 miles second coastal race of the Week of the Straits regatta but both of the regatta leaders pounced when their key rivals made tiny mistakes, ensuring both Bronenosec and Quantum Racing still share the same top of the table aggregates.

Azzurra and Bronenosec read the beat best and rounded the first rocky islets ahead. When the reach across the Soffi island saw the breeze go ahead then Bronenosec anticipated bettern, dousing their kite while holding their lane. Azzurra held longer and sailed low for seconds which was enough to let Bronenosec through.
Quantum Racing took Platoon – who made the wrong spinnaker choice and then Sled at the line to steal third. That leaves Bronenosec and Quantum Racing tied on sixteen points with Azzurra third on 17.
