2016 Puerto Portals Sailing Week – Race 5 Summary

A win for Quantum Racing, their second of the regatta so far, steps Doug DeVos’ team clear at the top of the standings for Puerto Portals Sailing Week. With Azzurra second the US-flagged team which leads the 52 SUPER SERIES are now one point clear.

A solid start mid line with good pace was enough for Quantum Racing to lead at the top mark after they kept Azzurra in check up the beat. Provezza were squeezed from their preferred spot at the start and rounded eighth at the windward mark. But they fought hard and by the top mark second time up had managed to get to third which promotes them to third overall on the regatta standings.
