2016 Audi Settimana Delle Bocche – Race 6 Update

Quantum Racing won the first race of today to go five points clear at the top of the Audi Settimana delle Bocche regatta standings. After a long delay ashore Race 6 was contested in a light 6kt breeze from 115 degs. Quantum Racing stayed left and really profited over the top third of the beat when they hooked into better pressure, arriving at the mark with more pace and height than the boats which came in from the right. They led Alegre all the way round, Andy Soriano’s team making their just reward for a late night re-rigging their boat after breaking a D2 diagonal shroud yesterday. Platoon take third but Rán Racing still hold second overall with Azzurra, finishing seventh, hanging on to third step on the podium.
